Our top 3 new features in Sage 200 2016
September 27, 2016 | News
With so much being put into each new release, we asked our Sage 200 Product Manager, Pete Child for his thoughts on what the top 3 new features in Sage 200 2016 are and why.
- Sales Return from Sales Order
My first top new feature is the ability to create a Sales Return from an existing Sales Order. Now, highlighting a Sales Order and selecting New Return from order will populate the Return data for you.
This was a feature that was frequently requested by customers and makes using the system much easier.
It reduces human error as it removes the need to re-key information, and increases efficiency as the process is much quicker.
- Stock Analysis
Stock records have now been extended to include 20 analysis codes.
This allows you to capture more data against individual stock records. Reporting and enquiries for stock control has improved. And this gives you greater depth of analysis.
- Sage Pay now button
Sage 200 2016 adopts Sage Payments which enables you to seamlessly synchronise payments with suppliers to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Part of Sage Payments is the ability to add ‘Pay Now’ buttons to your invoices, statements and letters allowing customers to pay you instantly online by debit/credit card or PayPal. This allows you to take payments faster, for very little cost.
These are just 3 of the new features in Sage 200 2016 and there’s lots more I could have talked about – the new bank reconciliation screen with a split screen view, limited price bands settings and discount options in Price Book or the ability to hold a budget against a reporting category.
If you’d like to find out more about any of the new features available in Sage 200 2016, join me for an online demonstration. I hold regular sessions where you can see the features in action and ask any questions you may have. Or, give the Pinnacle Direct team a call and they’ll have a chat about your individual requirements.
