Senior WordPress Developer

As a Senior WordPress Developer, you will collaborate with designers, product managers, and other developers to create and maintain high-quality, custom solutions. Your work will involve building and extending WordPress functionality to solve complex problems and ensure the performance, security, and scalability of our web platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, test and deploy custom WordPress solutions, including plugins, themes, and APIs using PHP and modern development practices.
• Review project requirements to ensure the solutions developed align with quality standards and client needs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement efficient, secure, and scalable WordPress solutions.
• Optimise code for performance, security and scalability.
• Work with tools and frameworks such as ACF, WP REST API and Custom Post Types.
• Take ownership of assigned tasks and projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to deadlines
• Mentor team members by sharing knowledge and promoting best practices to foster growth and collaboration.

• Extensive experience in PHP software development with WordPress, building themes, plugins and extending functionality.
• Strong understanding of WordPress architecture, including hooks, filters and the WordPress API
• Proven ability to build solutions from scratch, rather than relying on pre-made themes or plugins.
• Demonstrated success in delivering WordPress projects on time and according to specifications.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a proven capacity to work effectively within a team
• Proficiency with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive front-end development.
